Up along the rocky hills of the Miliciana district of Sicily, lay the olive groves of the Mirisola Family who have been making their handpicked organic olive oil from frantoio, coratina, and leccino olives, perfecting the essence of freshly picked olives in a bottle. Olives are pressed within 2 to 6 hours of picking. With organic farming, quantity is sacrificed for quality. Each tree only produces about 1 liter of exceptional olive oil. So exceptional, that Salvatore Mirisola olive oil has received numerous accolades, including the current Gran Menzione “Sol d’Oro” given in Verona.
The Salvatore Mirisola oils have a full and slightly spicy aroma. They are incomparable when used as a condiment for dipping bread and on sandwiches and are excellent for use with salads, bruschetta, fish and carpaccio.
We recommend our Light variety for when you want to enhance the dishes you prepare. A wonderful way to highlight the flavors of your sauces and meats. Delightful as a finishing oil drizzled over pastas and risotto.
