Shrimp In Oil

The quintessential tapas dish, a favorite that’s so easy to make!

Ingredients:

Shrimp In Oil with garlic, the quintessential tapas dish
2 lbs large queen shrimp, cleaned & shelled
1 tsp Spicy Paprika (Pimenton de la Vera)
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Arbequina Essencia Extra Virgin Olive Oil
5 garlic cloves, sliced thick
1 medium Lemon, cut into wedges

Preparation

Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a pan till very hot but not smoking. Add the garlic and Spicy Paprika (Pimenton de la Vera) and fry for about a minute to let the spices cook and allow the flavors to develop.

Add the shrimp and cook for 2 minutes until bright pink in color. Remove with a slotted spoon, season with salt and pepper and serve immediately with lemon wedges and extra virgin olive oil.

Serves 8.
